An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Credit Analyst with good knowledge of UK & European Corporate Markets to join our client’s busy team.
Main responsibilities will include:
• To manage a general portfolio of group counterparties covering predominantly large energy, industrial and retail companies.
• Perform financial and general analysis on existing and new customers to assess creditworthiness. The qualified candidate will be able to analyse both public and privately-owned companies of any size, incorporating reviews for management approval.
• Determining appropriate credit limits within the Company’s risk tolerance.
• Update credit and filing databases on a regular basis and conform to management reporting requirements.
• Mitigation of credit risk through the structuring and negotiation of suitable credit terms for inclusion in standard and bespoke contracts.
• Co-ordinate credit line usage across international offices and across internal and external affiliates.
The successful candidate will have proven corporate credit analysis experience, preferably within a banking environment, a solid understanding of credit risk analysis, financial accounts (P&L, Balance sheet), credit and cashflow analysis as well as good communication skills.
Knowledge of German would be an advantage as would an understanding of credit risk in derivatives transactions and potential future exposure.
