Financial Controller- Leveraged Finance; Permanent

Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to lead and direct the Financial Control Function of their Leveraged Finance division in Paris, Frankfurt and London.
* Lead, coach, mentor and train Controllership team to develop their skills base and knowledge. 3 direct reports, 2 in London and 1 in Paris with total team of approx 25 people, including offshore resources
* Ensure that all guidelines are applied to guarantee the integrity of the Leveraged Finance balance sheet and P&L under relevant GAAP for each country of operation as well as US GAAP.
* Oversee all aspects of the regulatory reporting to the following entities: Bank of France, Bank of England, Financial Service Authority, European Central Bank, Bank of Italy, and Bundesbank, as well as any other relevant local regulatory reporting in UK, France, Italy and Germany
* Ensure that accounts and returns, including tax and VAT, are prepared and filled correctly and on time, for all legal entities in UK, France, Italy and Germany.
* Supervise the controllership process improvement team, and controls under SOX 404.
* Set appropriate standards for the team and recruit appropriate candidates
* Monitor and supervise team to verify that output is produced to required standard.
* Regular travel between Paris HQ and branch locations in London, Frankfurt and Milan will be required to operate successfully.
The successful candidate will have proven Leveraged Finance experience in a similar role, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as being to drive change and an ability to work in a cross-cultural. French language skills will be an distinct advantage.
