Commodities Trading Corporate Credit Analyst; Permanent

• Title: Commodities Trading Corporate Credit Analyst

Our client, a commodities trading house has an opportunity for a Commodities Trading Corporate Credit Analyst to join their Credit Risk Management team.

Main responsibilities will include:
· To manage a general portfolio of Trading’s counterparties.
· Perform company analysis on existing and new customers to assess creditworthiness.
· Determine appropriate credit limits within the Company’s risk tolerance.
· Analysing both public and privately-owned companies of any size, incorporating reviews for Credit and Risk Committee approval.
· Update credit databases on a daily basis and conform to management reporting requirements.
· Mitigation of credit risk through the structuring and negotiation of suitable credit terms for inclusion in standard and bespoke trading contracts.
· Pro-active management of counterparty credit exposures, including initiation of discussions with counterparties. Co-ordinate credit line usage across international offices.

The successful candidate will have a commodity trading house background, have corporate analysis experience, credit risk awareness as well as understanding of credit risk in derivatives transactions and good communication skills. Ability to speak German would be an advantage.
