Sales Assistant – Cash / Derivative Middle Office; Permanent

• Title: Sales Assistant – Cash / Derivative Middle Office

Our client is looking for a Sales Assistant with good knowledge of Rates and Credit Derivatives to join their team to provide daily trade support to a group of salespeople within Regional Sales.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Work with salespeople/traders to ensure timely booking and matching of trades.
* To act as primary point of contact for clients with regard to Middle and Back office concerns.
* To ensure the timely allocation and confirmation of trades to customers and provide swift resolution of issues/queries.
* Opening and maintenance of accounts, including provision of back-up documentation
* Ensure the Sales desk's compliance with internal and external regulatory directives.
* Liaison with Client Services team to ensure sound service for priority accounts.
* Resolution of trade rejections over the Oasys/CTM ETC systems.
* Work with global Operations network to resolve trade discrepancies and provide prompt fail resolution.
* Ensure all trades and accounts are correctly populated to allow and promote STP wherever possible.
* Enrichment of trade capture to include margining requirements as directed by Credit/Risk Management.
* To monitor and reconcile trades executed via E-Commerce trading platforms, such as Bloomberg and BondVision.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a back office or front facing role, an understanding of bonds/mortgages and the settlement process through Euroclear and the Global Domestic markets as well as a basic awareness of accounting, compliance and regulatory environments and good PC skills.

European languages are a requirement.
