Product Controller
Our client is looking for a Fixed Income Product Control (FI PC) whose main missions are
to perform a second level of control over the production of the P&L, in particular covering the consistency of methodology used, adjustments posted, significant P&L movements and intra-group deals.
Key responsibilities
• Perform locally / globally run control processes and reviews. Ensure that exceptions are reviewed and resolved with the appropriate areas and that adequate documentation is produced and stored.
• Contribute to the definition of P&L preparation and substantiation standards.
• Advise P&L managers and analysts on the implications of existing standards.
• Collect, analyse and follow up on suggestions to revise and extend the existing standards.
Participate in projects sponsored by Product Control to enhance the P&L control environment.
• Where appropriate, train P&L analysts in the use of new and revised P&L processes & control tools.
• Prepare and substantiate the P&L for books that Product Control has responsibility for, resolving any queries with the appropriate areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with other Product Control teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Finance and R-CM based on trust, respect and professionalism.
The successful candidate will have:
• Market Risk - Independent Price Verification experience essential Products/ Exchanges - Fixed Income Derivatives Degrees (BA/BSc) - Quantitative (any)
