Team Leader – Position and Product Control

Our client is looking for a Team Leader – Position and Product Control to work in a team of 2 – 4 people responsible for position and product control functions across all activities of the Commodities product line. With a good understanding of Operational risk controls and trade life cycle events.

Key Responsibilities

• The team is responsible for ensuring the t+1transactional integrity across trading applications used by the Commodities product line.
• The team is responsible for creating new curves, trade templates and portfolios within Openlink
• Off-market MtM monitoring for new and expiring trades
• Excessive trade MtM movements monitoring
• Interdesk internals control
• Hedge trade reconciliations monitoring
• Operational KPI production
• Exert vigilance to unusual or inappropriate (i.e. unusual, un-economic or fraudulent) trading practices
• Management of new product creation in Openlink:
• Development and build of new curves in Openlink for new products (or derivatives)
• Creation of new Portfolios (profit centres)
• Coordination with other internal groups to ensure configuration to downstream platforms is complete
• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure that they are fully qualified to undertake their role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
Qualifications/Education Required:
• Degree or equivalent in relevant subject
• Strong experience in market risk or trading support on Capital Markets derivatives.
• Ability to analyse and summarise
• Appreciation of results and priorities
• Proficient in Excel

Financial control experience and Commodities product expertises is desirable.
