European rates trading middle office analyst
Our client is looking for a European rates trading middle office analyst to serve the Rates Trading business in London, one of the biggest and best businesses of its kind. The team is primarily responsible for the key trade capture controls and important end-of-day processes.
Key responsibilities
• Monitoring key trade capture controls and clearing breaks on a timely basis
• Capture of challenging vanilla interest rate derivatives, such as packaged and linked trades
• Running the traders' end-of-day P&L and risk and liaising with them to resolve any issues
• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of end-of-day P&L issues and alerting downstream groups to end-of-day feed issues
• Yield curve capture and maintenance
• Responding to queries from the trading desk and other departments
• Working with the Business Development, Technology and other Middle Office teams to implement new systems, processes and controls
The successful candidate will have:
• Relevant banking experience in Middle Office or Operations
• Familiarity with derivative processing and controls
• Extensive experience of working across a wide range of teams
• Ability to explain complex concepts to a wide audience
• Understanding of process flows and controls
• Ability to use current generic desktop tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both communicating and active listening
