Treasury accountant
Our client is looking for a Treasury Accountant to be responsible for all Treasury and Financial requirements of the Bank including variance analysis, management accounting and MIS.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of reconciliation between Daily treasury report and monthly statements of the Bank. This includes working knowledge of treasury products accounting as per IAS 39.
• Liaising with Treasury middle office and operations for Treasury and corporate banking accounting
• Preparation and analysis of Profit and Loss and Balance sheet of the bank on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for mark to market movements on the trading and banking book of the Bank
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation summary of control accounts and intersystem reconciliation.
• Analysing the movements, variances vs budget and previous year in the P&L of the Bank on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of Projections of Net Interest Income of the bank.
• To undertake projects and assignment from time to time as directed by Supervisor
• Ensuring the Forex position arising from the various activities is being reported to Treasury in a timely manner.
• Interacting with internal and external auditors
The successful candidate will have:
• Treasury experience including IAS 39 gained from working within a bank or financial services organisation
• Excellent ability of multi-tasking and working on a variety of projects at the same time.
• Ability to articulate with conviction using data and logic.
• Ability to break complex issues into smaller, more manageable chunks, ability to look at trends and interrelationships, ability to understand the underlying needs of the clients.
• Ability to manage information in structured and systematic manner
