Corporate Actions AVP

Our client is looking for a Corporate Actions AVP. The team are the single point of contact for Corporate Actions queries, the team staff an inbox and provide cover for a number of internal of clients/desks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day to day functions of the team.
• Provide Corporate Action technical support to the team and supporting functions Review/implement effective controls to support the functions above.
• Play a key role in benchmarking and developing talent both managerial and SME Identify process improvements/efficiencies.
• Attend the weekly Control Forum chaired by the risk team.
• Act as first point of contact for Incident reporting - Ensure that the management team are supplied all the relevant concise details. Ensure all corrective measures fully mitigate any future risk, and are delivered on a timely basis.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous supervisory/management experience within Corporate Actions.
• An excellent understanding of the securities markets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and assess risk.
• Excellent reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritise multiple tasks in accordance with associated risk or client impact and meet strict deadlines.
• The ability to work effectively with local and remote management teams.
