Audit Manager- Wholesale / Commercial banking

Our client is looking to recruit at Audit Manager (VP) level to oversee and team of 7 is responsible for semi-annual reporting on the standard of Internal Control to the Banking Board and participates in the global planning events.

Key Responsibilities

• To perform internal audits of business activities in London and to perform audits at other locations in the European Time Zone if required.
• Contact with staff at all levels, up to the Heads of the Business Lines and the members of the Management Committee.
• To be part of a productive, risk focused internal audit team providing ongoing internal control feedback to Group Senior Management via a risk-based framework of operational audits.
• To lead audits covering all banking activities including Financial Markets, Equity Markets, Structured Lending and Investment Banking.
• To act in a supervisory position in the audit process for the complex audits
• To act in a professional manner at all times in the execution of the audit tasks.
• To bring enhanced experience of the internal audit of financial services to the team.
• To manage and develop other members of the audit team on specific audits.

The successful candidate will be:

• Professionally qualified in auditing or banking related areas such as CA, ACCA or IIA.
• Good product experience, has demonstrated an advanced ability to learn, adapt and apply knowledge specifically in identifying, analysing understanding risk and the ability to challenge the management of risks.
• Previous experience in a Commercial Banking internal audit role or has a specific competence in a field, i.e. product control, risk management, compliance, front office.
• Well motivated, proactive, sets high goals and seeks to achieve them.
