Senior IT Auditor ; Permanent

• Title: Senior IT Auditor
• Salary Range: Negotiable
• Duration: Permanent

Our client is looking for a Senior IT Auditor to support Audit Management and the Head of Audit in delivering assurance and advice to Senior Management and the Board.

Main responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for taking the lead role for delivery of quality assurance work to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and the control environment across all functions of the Group with specific focus on IT.
• Manage audit activity in line with departmental standards to include setting appropriate budgets; managing against budgets on a timely basis; and maintaining appropriate professional standards.
• Definition of audit objectives; key risk; scope; approach and timelines in a standard Internal Audit terms of reference following discussion and agreement with senior line management.
• Undertake audit fieldwork, testing and reporting to a quality standard that ensures all key risks have been identified and key controls have been documented, tested and failings reported.
• Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders within the business to enable clear communication of issues and implementation of remedial actions that are considered, constructive and commercial.
• Provide clear and comprehensive reports to all levels of management within the business from executive summaries and audit findings to ad hoc information requests and advice.

The successful candidate will have proven internal, external or internal audit, an understanding of the professional practice of internal audit including risk based audit techniques, extensive knowledge of a broad range of IT infrastructures, environments & systems as well as a professional IT and/or audit related qualification and in depth knowledge of using CAATs
