Compliance officer (Regulatory compliance/ FCA specific experience)
Remote
Part-time – 3 days per week.
Permanent

Fast growing Payment’s software company within the fitness/ sports space. Focussed on providing payments and membership software for various gyms, sports clubs and sport’s governing bodies (England rugby, England football etc.). Currently owned by up to 40 high value individuals from the USA – One being Bryan Dyson who was CEO at Coca Cola – who has put substantial funding into the business. The company has been running since the 90’s and is in a period of quick growth and expansion due to investment. Regarded as one of the main players in the industry.

They are currently looking for a generalist Compliance officer who can support the business through their path to becoming FCA compliant and then support the company for the foreseeable on all aspects of compliance.

Responsibilities:
– Writing and implementing compliance policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations
– Will be involved in settlements
– Directly liaising with the FCA to ensure compliance requirements are met
– Working alongside technology/ systems architects to ensure payments and membership systems are functioning in line with FCA regulations
– You will be reporting into the Finance Director
– Standalone compliance role within business

Experience needed:
– minimum 5 years solid compliance experience including within payments company
– Must have a payments background within Compliance as opposed to banking/ asset management
– Experience liaising with the FCA/ FCA management (You will be the sole Compliance officer in the company)
– Must have experience writing and implementing policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations
– Must have experience with Settlements as relates to compliance regs.
– Strong understanding of Regulatory compliance, etc.
– Must have technology savvy with solid expertise and confidence in using Microsoft Excel etc. (company uses bespoke memberships and payments systems so must be able to learn these relatively quickly)

Benefits
– Salary up to £40 – £55k (pro-rated)
– Fully remote role/ work from home for the foreseeable

– 25 days holiday increasing to 27 after 5 years.
– Sick pay 7 days in a rolling 12 months, then after 3 years it’s a month (do not get paid in first three months, probation)
