cer Financial are working alongside a well-established and well-structured international bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking IT manager to work with them on a temporary basis for 12 months.

 

The successful candidate will be working with the Head of IT to delivery technology services to the business alongside planning and implementation of digital change, for improved effectiveness and efficient business processes.

 

 

The Responsibilities of the IT Manager Will Include:

 

  • Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems.
  • Manage the IT workstreams effectively, ensuring that objectives are agreed and achieved, and training needs are identified and met.
  • Evaluate, plan, and implement emerging technologies
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and maintenance providers, including contract review and negotiation, performance evaluation and feedback, service continuity and back- up arrangements.
  • Identify IT risk across UNB and support the risk assessment processes of project and programme appraisals, developing appropriate plans, including disaster recovery, in order to maintain an appropriate balance between IT risk and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the back office computer operations of the affiliate management information system, including local area networks and wide-area networks.
  • Responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, and office automation.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
  • Develop and implement user-training programs.
  • Oversee, evaluate, and test system security and back up procedures.
  • Ensuring that treating customer fairly (TCF) principles are adhered to at all times.
  • Consider future and strategic plans for new services and initiatives
  • Review service introduction / discontinuation and formerly agree on service variations
  • Create and review SLA and KPI
  • Review performance, monthly dashboard, service scope changes

 

The Successful IT Manager Will Have:

 

  • Ability to demonstrate relevant experience in managing IT systems in a regulated banking environment.
  • Ability to create and review SLA and KPI
  • Ability to interact with senior executives across the organisation
  • Responsibility to the upkeep and continuous improvement of Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity measures in support of the Operational Resilience stance of the business.
